Default Do you guys still ride?

The only activity I've been seeing is Slugo posting videos. With this good weather its a good time to knock the spider webs off of my bike. Where is everyone? Manny? Troy G? Troy K? Adam? Mark? Sluggo (video boy)?

I'd like to try Cravens.
There is a new place across the lake in Wilmer that has some trails. I've never riden there yet but it is close by. Here's the directions copied off of MX SOUTH.
Wilmer Directions

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This 500 acre tract of land is owned by the LA Office of Administration - Dept of State Lands. It was probably donated by previous owners or maybe from taxes. It is about 3 miles east of the Sandy Hollow WMA and NOT part of the WMA.
Any way, I have contacted the office and also viewed regulations of use on their website and it is legal for dirtbike, atv, camping, hunting, or any other legal use so long as trees are not cut or damaged. You will be riding relatively high speed timber land firebreaks on this land, and as stated earlier, the back 1/2 has been clear cut over the past few months so that part is like a desert at his point. Although there were signs temporarily restricting access to the back area while the clear cutting was taking place, it is all but complete at this point and not an issue.

I do not have the website on me but you can actually download a map of the property from the LA state website - google "la office of administration dept of state lands" then click on the "Water bottoms and state lands" tab, then click on one that mentions "maps" (not sure of exact name) to find it like you would on a google earth map.

Directions: First let me say that you will drive past this if you don't know it is there - but once you get there you will receive confirmation in the form of small yellow signage posted by the LA Office of State Lands.
The only entrance is a parking area at the gate on LA Hwy 10 directly across Hwy 10 from a white ranch fence with a white horse statue. This is about 1 mile east of Hwy 1061 (Wilmer) and about 4 miles west of Hwy 450 (Stoney Point). All of this is about 3 miles east of the Sandy Hollow WMA that you will find on any state map.

The shape of the land is roughly square but not eactly. If you observe obvious postings you will get the general layout. A slither of the property (a road) goes to Hwy 1061 on the southwest corner but there is no Hwy access b/c of a ditch.

As always, respect adjacent private land owner property and pack out trash so that it remains open for riding. Remeber that this land will be hunted in fall/winter.

Also, anyone looking to ride good trails in this area can also ride the CCR MX trails. CCR is a good 5 mile loop of techical trails with the track as an option.

Enjoy.
